As a listing agent in Southern California, Raquel Atwell represented clients in some of West Los Angeles most exclusive coastal properties and in the Wilshire Corridor luxury condominiums. She moved to Austin in 1993 and began selling homes for DR Horton, where she remained for more than 22 years. Continuously a top producer, she was the recipient of the President’s Award multiple times. Over the years, she gained significant knowledge of the new home construction process and the Austin real estate market. Both were important assets as Raquel sold in Austin’s fastest-growing community, Avery Ranch, for more than 16 years. During that time she closed more than $300 million in new homes while maintaining one of the company’s highest customer service records.

Raquel has now joined ERA Experts and is looking forward to serving her clients with the same dedication, passion, and enthusiasm. She offers the knowledge, confidence, and experience to help buyers find that perfect home. A creative and out-of-the-box thinker, Raquel attributes her success in real estate to the trust she earns while working with her clients. She believes that each family has a story and helping them unfold that story is what keeps her in the business.

Raquel believes that her biggest accomplishment has been in the raising of three amazing children, now 28, 26, and 20 years old. She and her husband recently built a home to fit their new empty nest stage of life. Though she is a long way from California today, she still loves the ocean and enjoys taking advantage of all of the lakes in the Austin area.

Kent’s extensive real estate career spans 25 years in Austin with new home sales at DR Horton including on-site experience, and as a sales manager and division president. His experience with Horton exposed him to all aspects of the real estate transaction including land development and construction. He’s also been involved in starting home-building operations and development work with his own projects, including a 39 unit condominium project in South Austin. Furthermore, his experience as a real estate investor has allowed him to see the benefits of diversifying an investment portfolio in the Austin real estate market.

While personally selling over 300 homes with Horton he was involved with nearly 35,000 new home transactions during his career. With that exposure came broad knowledge of the entire Austin metro area. He also has extensive contacts within the new home community. Kent feels that his knowledge and experience is a tremendous benefit to his clients. He understands the individual’s needs in purchasing a home for their family as well as the investor’s needs in finding a sound place for their money.

Born and raised in Wisconsin, Kent attended the University of Minnesota for undergrad and Texas A&M for graduate school. He met his future wife while working in Houston and moved to Austin in 1992 with her when she attended graduate school at UT. He’s been married for 26 years and they have 3 children. He enjoys cycling, golf, and travel. Kent’s bucket list includes visiting all the US National Parks (40 down, 22 more to go).

Lauren is a second-generation Realtor and a native Austinite who has witnessed firsthand how

this incredible city has grown and evolved over the years. She was inspired early on by her

mother, Raquel, who at the time was not only a top producer in new home sales but also

created communities where everyone felt cared for and connected, sparking Lauren’s own early

love for real estate. As a young adult, Lauren worked with DR Horton as an on-site assistant,

helping buyers find their dream home by truly listening to their wants and needs. After

graduating from Texas A&M University, life led her to Chicago, where she met her husband and

spent six (very cold!) years helping shape one of the fastest-growing technology startups in the

Midwest as the Culture and Operations Manager.

In 2021, Lauren returned to Austin with her growing family and now has two young children,

ages 2 and 4. During her own home-buying journey, she rediscovered Austin’s vibrant and

expanding neighborhoods and rejoined the community that has always meant so much to her. In

her free time she enjoys Austin’s endless outdoor activities, exploring with her family and

staying involved in her kids' school and local church.

Today, Lauren is committed to pursuing her passion in real estate with the A to Z Team. Along

with Raquel Atwell and Kent Zarbock, the team brings over 60 years of combined experience

and is dedicated to helping clients find homes that meet their evolving needs—whether they’re

first-time buyers, growing families, or investors of any experience. As a member of the ERA
